On April 26, In honor of Children’s Day, the Luum Awards and CCSBW coordinated a volunteer activity in collaboration with the foundation Levántate y Anda, an organization that supports children in vulnerable situations in the Colombian city of Bogotá.
The volunteer activity united professionals from the creative and advertising sectors, who then dedicated their time and shared their experiences with approximately 60 children from vulnerable communities. The event took place at the foundation’s headquarters in Barrios Unidos and included activities with play, art, emotional education, and inspiration.
Activities included:
- “Being Children Again,” a theater and play workshop designed to help people connect through laughter and empathy.
- “The Dream Workshop,” where the children were invited to imagine futures filled with hope.
- “Creative Advertising Workshop,” where the children designed campaigns to promote the Foundation’s work.
In addition to the volunteer activity, CCSBW organized a drive for clothing and school supplies, encouraging agencies and citizens to support the foundation in any way they could.
The event served as a reminder that, with ideas and action, it is possible to promote dignified and happy childhoods for children from any neighborhood.
